RUSSELL Robert "Bob" Lee, age 60, passed away on 1/12/99 in Oklahoma City, due to complications of a heart transplant operation.
Bob was born on September 22, 1938 in Fairbury, Nebraska to his parents, Raymond Edward Russell and Aliela E. Canning. He was raised in Pocattello, Idaho where he attended elementary and high school. He attended Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah where he played string bass for the Utah Symphony. He graduated with a BA degree in music. He served a mission fortheChurch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Texas. Bob received his master's degree in Audiology from OU and his Ph.D in Psychology from Texas Christian University. He owned and operated Industrial Hearing Conservation in Oklahoma for many years. Bob enjoyed writing music and wrote poetry for many family members and friends. He was extremely creative, fun, gentle and a wonderful father and husband. Bob was very devoted to his faith and his life was anchored to his testimony of the gospel. He served many years as a seminary teacher, youth advisor, Sunday School teacher, and in many other leadership capacities. His love and devotion to his wife, Kris, will always hold a special place in everyone's heart. Their very special relationship will live on forever. He is survived by his wife, Kris; three sons, Evan Keith, Coulter Lee, Terry Russell; six daughters, Jill Dahle, Heather Dahle, Jennifer Russell, Rachel Russell, Leslie Story, Billie Beth; four grandchildren, Michael, Elizabeth, Shelby & Landon.He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Pete Russell. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 15, 1999, at 1 PM at the Mustang Ward LDS Chapel, 925 Kentucky, in Mustang, OK. Visitation will be held on Thursday form 9 AM until 9PM at the Bill Merritt Funeral Service in Mustang. Interment in Mustang Cemetery.
